Enter the world of Thirsty City 127, one of Mumbai’s most exciting new bars known for its technique forward cocktails crafted by mixologist Santosh Kukreti, Bar Manager at Thirsty City 127 who is a deft hand with seasonal ingredients and house-made botanicals.
Santosh Kukreti is the Bar Manager at Thirsty City 127, India's finest bar, perhaps. The first #TechniqueForward, #IngredientFocused and #ZeroWastage Bar that has set out to create an exhilarating and unique bar experience nestled in Mumbai's first microbrewery. Santosh started his career at Ellipsis (Mumbai) in 2012, a fresher with no Hotel Management or Bartending course but pure passion for mixology. His journey then took him to Hakkasan (Mumbai) in 2014, Ek Bar (Delhi) in 2015 where he was the Head Bartender and designed the menu with Best Selling Cocktails like City of Nizam and the First Raw Turmeric Cocktail in India. Then he moved to Masque in 2016 as a Head Bartender; a Farm to Glass concept Cocktail Bar (Mumbai) 2016 where he designed a Cocktail menu using fresh and local produce around India. In 2016, he joined the very talented team at Ritz Carlton Bar & Lounge, Macau as Head Bartender. It's the first Cocktail Bar in Macau with over 150 different brands of Gin complete with a Gin Tonic trolley for a personalised experience. It is also the first from Macau to feature in Asia 50 Best Bars 2018 at number 48.
As the Bar Manager of TC127, Santosh aims at taking beverage a notch higher and way ahead of its time in India. It's the first bar in India to have a Gin & Tonic on TAP, which is served with a Botanical box to personalize garnish for ones G&T.
Within 9 months of TC127 being operational, Santosh and team opened doors to Remo's - their very own prohibition era speakeasy bar, with cocktails on a plate!
At Serendipity Arts Festival, Santosh Kukreti will be showcasing the techniques and experiments that we constantly create by pushing our boundaries at Thirsty City 127. Look for single ingredient - zero waste cocktails and techniques such as milk wash and clarification taking centre stage.
