Shadow Play is an exploration of the technique of shadow puppets as intricate works of craft, illustrators of narratives and metaphors for good and bad. Who is good and who is bad in the oral narratives that are told with these shadows or are there only shades of grey? The exhibit includes leather shadow puppets from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Experience the performances, stories and characters told by master puppeteers of the form. The spectator gets a glimpse of the journey of the moving pictures from shadow to digital animation by playing and dabbling with shadows hands on.
